New York Vs LA: Part I

It ain’t that different. And those of you who are homo-coastal? Well, think again.

Street signs: Equally hard to understand.

Traffic tickets? Equally easy to get.

Cell phone usage: In ridiculously high gear in both cities.

In NY, the couple that walks together, talks together.

In LA, drive by talking.

The traffic? Um, well you figure out which is New York and which is LA.

However, I love this about LA. Wondering what those yellow lines mean? It MEANS that the car HAS TO STOP when a pedestrian is walking in them. The pedestrian actually has right of way. What a concept.

This is what crossing the street looks like in Manhattan.

Wonder what this is? THIS how you pay for PARKING in LA. Where people act on the honors system and put the money in this BOX, by shoving it in with a weird little key. (Well, I never said it was NORMAL)

In NY, we have MUNI METERS, where you have to put your birthdate, social, cell, and credit card numbers before you get your parking stub.

This is the view when you take a run in LA. Oh, all right, Malibu. But at least there IS a Malibu.

This is my run in New York.

And this? This is my view at 6:30. Not, definitely NOT NY.
